Broken Blue Pencil Award Nominations Sought

Did you ever have one of those editorial situations that the best thing you could say about it was, "I'm sure I'll look back on this someday and laugh"? Here's your chance to share a laugh.

Nominations are now being solicited for the AESE Broken Blue Pencil Award, which is given in recognition of editorial mistakes, faux pas, and other inadvertencies beyond the ordinary. The Broken Blue Pencil is not given in derision but in recognition of the humanity of us all. After all, without humor, we may fall victim to the greater error: taking ourselves too seriously.

Nominations should be submitted to Russ Merrill for consideration by the AESE Board of Directors. Persons may nominate themselves. The award will not be made to those whose careers may be or have been adversely affected as a result of an error.
