Welcome to AESE

The Association of Earth Science Editors (AESE) is a group of individuals involved in selection, editing, and publication of manuscripts, books, journals, reports, and maps pertaining to the earth sciences. AESE provides a forum for the interchange of ideas that will lead to more effective dissemination of earth science information to the scientific community, educators and students, and the public.

What's New

NEW: 2019 Annual Meeting
This year's meeting is shaping up to be another interesting one. Join us in Regina September 4 to 7 to learn how design can influence the effectiveness of a document, the challenges of starting a journal in a digital-only world, developing a web map application to preserve photograph collections, the Kentucky Geological Survey's portal to geological information, and more...

The keynote talk, after our banquet dinner, will give us an insight into a time when Saskatchewan was a low-relief coastline adjacent to a seaway prone to inland flooding.

The field trip on Saturday will take us through the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley, where we'll learn about the history of the region, and how the landscape was moulded by successive advances and retreats of continental glaciers. The field trip will include a lunch stop in the historic village of Lebret, and a visit to Echo Lake Provincial Park. To help unwind after the field trip, there will be an optional 'Supper in the Orchard' at the Over the Hill Orchards and Winery!

A reminder that the meeting block of rooms for the DoubleTree closes Friday, August 9th.

Please see the attached for a possible solution to this problem, but also let Mary Ann Schmidt know so she can ensure you receive regular emails from us until the problem is sorted out.
